Abigail A. (Huffer) Diener was raised in Carroll County. She graduated from Delphi Community High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in 2004. Ms. Diener earned her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and law degrees from Valparaiso University in 2008. Following her admission to the Indiana Bar, Ms. Diener joined the law firm of Obear, Overholser, Huffer & Rider, LLC in Delphi. Ms. Diener and Ms. Martin opened the law firm of Diener & Martin, LLC in 2019.
Ms. Diener primarily practices estate planning and administration, tax, real estate, and serves with Ms. Martin as counsel for the White County Commissioners and the White County Drainage Board. In 2012, Ms. Diener founded the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program in Carroll County, and expanded the program to White County in 2018. Ms. Diener presently serves as a governor-appointed board member on the state-wide Kids First Trust Fund, and as a board member on Carroll County Community Corrections, the Carroll County Community Foundation, and the United Way of Greater Lafayette. She is a member of the Carroll County Bar Association, the White County Bar Association, and the Indiana State Bar Association.
Ms. Diener lives in Monticello, Carroll County, with her four children.
Makenzie Martin grew up in Carroll and White County and attended Twin Lakes School Corporation. After graduating high school, she attended and graduated from Purdue University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, a bachelor’s degree in Law and Society, and a minor in Psychology. Makenzie then graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan, where she obtained her law degree. Makenzie is happily married with two beautiful children.
Makenzie Martin and Abigail Diener opened the law office of Diener & Martin, LLC in October of 2019. Makenzie is the Vice President and member of the Carroll County Bar Association, a member of the White County Bar Association, and a member of the Indiana State Bar Association.
Makenzie’s current law practice focuses primarily on estate planning, estate administration, real estate matters, individual tax preparation, family law, guardian ad litem (both court-appointed and private), White County Area Plan Commission, White County, Indiana (all departments), and mediation.
Makenzie is the co-founder of the White Carroll Alternative Dispute Resolution program serving both White and Carroll Counties.
Lisa Hawn grew up on a small farm in Cutler, Indiana, and graduated from Carroll Jr. and Sr. Highschool. Lisa has been married for 35 years and has three adult children, as well as a daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and grandson.
Lisa began her legal career at the law firm of Obear, Overholser, Huffer & Rider in 1989. After 30 years of legal service at Obear, Overholser, Huffer & Rider, Lisa joined the law firm of Diener & Martin, LLC as a senior legal assistant to both Mrs. Diener and Mrs. Martin. Lisa’s favorite areas of legal work include estate planning, estate administration, trust administration, real estate matters, and individual income taxes.
When Lisa is not hard at work, she enjoys flower gardening, cooking, antiquing, thrift shopping, and spending time with her family, friends and her two English Cream Retrievers, Gracie and Marley.
Miranda Fiscus grew up in White County, Indiana (Monticello) and graduated from Twin Lakes High School. Miranda then went on to work at Purdue University, serving in positions specializing in clerical and administrative work, for nearly a decade. Miranda earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Purdue University.
Prior to working as a legal assistant at the law office of Diener & Martin, LLC, Miranda spent a year working in an administrative role for the White County Prosecutor's Office. Miranda has been with Diener & Martin, LLC since October 2022 and focuses primarily on estate planning, estate administration, real estate matters, family law, and bookkeeping.
When Miranda is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and going to the movies.
Hailing from the charming town of Monticello, Indiana, Shelby Bossung has always been deeply connected to her roots. Shelby graduated from Twin Lakes High School and pursued her passion for Sports Broadcasting and Business Management at Indiana University, where she developed a strong foundation in leadership and communication.
Shelby’s professional journey began through rite of passage at Indiana Beach, where she gained valuable experience in customer service. Over the past 17 years, Shelby has built a successful career as a seasoned Service Manager, demonstrating excellence and responsibility in progressive roles. Prior to Shelby’s current position at Diener and Martin, where she serves as a legal assistant and office manager, Shelby spent a decade in the banking industry, serving as an Assistant Branch Manager and a Mortgage Resolution Analyst. Shelby’s dedication and hard work earned her recognition as the top Assistant Branch manager, two times over.
When Shelby is not at work, she reading and embarking on shopping adventures, hunting for hidden gems. Shelby finds the most joy in creating lasting memories with her husband and their three children, especially as they cherish their family’s legacy by residing in the home that brought her back to her roots and previously belonged to her grandparents.
